films

I spent my whole childhood indulging in films and creating them with my mates. I could never comprehend how they were made or how they began. Filmmaking to me was grabbing whatever could record and capturing what was around me to entertain my imagination.

It started with imitating my favourite movies – making Star Wars duels in my backyard or action films that try to live up to James Bond.

Now, I want each film I create to have significance to me and hopefully speak to even just a few people. They typically stem from how I feel and while now there is only a few, expect many more!

Much love.

me – a film about self

This film is my first. First time putting a part of myself out for anyone and everyone to see. I made “me” to explore the idea that we never really know who we are and that’s ok. Who we are now will not be the same as who we are tomorrow, the day after that and so on. You’re ever-changing. So sometimes it’s best to be fearlessly you.

I hope you can relate a little.

found

I worked endlessly on this film for a little over a year. It’s constructed of close to 750 videos of my closest friends, family and adventures.

I wanted to make a film that captured the nostalgia and beauty of moments that we share with those closest to us. I think that I often get so caught up in my own mind that I forget to enjoy the time I spend with people. It’s moments like these, however, where I find myself most present, most happy.

To all my friends, family and above all Mum & Dad. Much love x

seek

Some of my mates and I wanted to explore somewhere new, so with limited knowledge, poor navigational skills and a burning desire to find somewhere to cool off, we hiked and climbed through the bush and ended up in a bit of a special spot.

The adventure was long and in some instances painful, but in scorching heat it’s nice to know we can all still have a laugh.

Getting lost together is always an adventure.

more to come!

I already have a few ideas building up and am working on the next. Hope to see you soon.
